Hi there! I’m Sarah, a newly minted DC resident (and a native of the DC suburbs). So glad you’ve decided to read along as I cover the 5 T’s: Tastes, Texts, Tips & Tricks, Textiles, and Treats.
A bit about me…
I completed my undergraduate degree in sociology at Colby College, a small liberal arts school in Waterville, Maine. I could go on and on about how much I loved my time there and am so glad I had the chance to experience life in New England! After graduation, I spent two years in New York City, where I lived on the Upper East Side and worked in the communications field. As much as I loved my work in magazine journalism, I eventually decided it was time to go to grad school, so I parted ways with NYC and made a new home for myself in Philly! In 2016, I received my master’s degree in higher education from the University of Pennsylvania. I now work in communications at a school by day and write this little blog at night!
Have a question about a post or product? Looking to collaborate? Drop me a line at dctoatblog [at] gmail.com. I look forward to hearing from you!
A few things I love…
Coffee (I especially love checking out small, unique coffee shops)
Books (Trading textbooks for paperbacks has been a treat!)
Interior design (I am constantly arranging and re-arranging my apartment and perfecting my gallery wall, so expect to see tons of design posts on here!)
Bargain shopping (I could spend hours in HomeGoods or at a thrift shop)
Patterns (Florals, leopard print, herringbone…bring it on!)
